Hi everyone:
I have this plant - well, actually, I have these plants.....a yellow, orange
and red blooming plant known to me as Anisacanthus. Until I found the red
blooming Anisacanthus (with a label in the pot) this summer I didn't know
what my yellow and orange plant were. I was told that they were a native
honeysuckle but it is not a vine - just a small bush. Anyway - I can't get
these plants to bloom. According to the information I have found on these
plants I am doing everything right - full sun, water, fertilizer, etc., but
they still won't bloom for me. It is my understanding that these plants are
supposed to bloom from spring to fall - mine haven't done a thing but grow.
I will admit that until June 1st I was pinching the heck out of these guys to
encourage bushiness which has made for a nice looking plant....but they just
won't bloom. Does anyone here grow this plant and if so - how do you treat
yours and is yours blooming? Last year my yellow and orange were in bloom
all season.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
