Re: pine needles in cutting garden
Pine needles are the best of all possivle mulches, excellent at keeping
weeds down and letting moisture in. They are also slow to break down and
will not affect the ph of the soil. In my late, lamented KS garden I tried,
and failed, to acidify an area with pine needles.
