Check out the second photo, the snowberry Clearwing Moth.  That's the
type we have around here.  It has a tail like a lobster, fanned out on
the end.

Our actual hummingbirds are getting quite pushy here.  I was reading
on my patio (surrounded by balsam impatiens, which they love) and had
one hovering  6-8 inches from my face!!!  Guess I must have smelled
sweet???  LOL!
