Thank you, Nancy.
The book that got JoAn started was Handbook for Troughs. We had some
guests here to view the gardens and have lunch with us about 4 years back.
They were English and, of course, brought a gardening gift with them. It was
the Handbook.... JoAn ignored it for about 6 months then got hooked. Enough
that she has taken lessons fro the "Masters" up in PA, and in Cincinnati,
OH. Several times with both. She now teaches trough making here at the
nursery. this is her first year to give the lessons and she has had to set
up a class to handle the overflow from the regularly scheduled classes that
were filled. She only takes 12 students at a time.
Sounds like you had a good time. We certainly are here. Now we are
trying to find the time to make some special sizes and shapes for our own
use in our gardens so they can overwinter and cure for spring planting.
