Metal markers have a way of getting separated from the plants they
identify.  Your dog, GP, NGP, other pets or your big feet may uproot the
markers.  the surest way to know what is where is to draw yourself a map
and keep it up to date.  I do use markers as well, but they're
untrustworthy.  Friends use popsicle sticks, and they've actually seen a
squirrel pull them out, carry them several feet, then drop them.  With
friends like those, who needs enemies?  Margaret
