the nude bush return in spring? All rose plants are first year in the
garden.
------------------------------------
We rebuillt a raised rose bed this spring and bought some new roses to
fill in the gaps. I was determined to make them grow...this time.
Anyway, I worked really hard at it for awhile, and sprayed weekly with
orthenex (fungicide/insecticide) until it got too hot to spray them.
While I maintained the spray schedule, they looked really great. After
they had not been sprayed for a month or so, we had a week when it
rained every day, and shortly thereafter the roses looked pretty bad
again. So, if you want really pretty roses, be prepared to work hard at
it (and spend a fortune on chemicals!). I persist because my husband
really likes the roses, and it actually only takes 20 or 30 minutes to
spray them all.
Most of the time, my roses start out looking pretty good again in the
spring, even when they looked really sad by fall. Generaly if mine
croak, it's midsummer...
Good luck!
