Daylilies are nearly impossible to kill. I mail ordered some daylilies this
August and the package was put in a door that I never use. Needless to say
I did not know that they were delivered. I recently found them after an
estimated 19 days of being in a barerooted and stuck between a south facing
storm door and the entry door during the month of August 80 to 80 degrees
daily. The plant looked very shriveled with dry leaves. I just soaked
them in plain water for a day and planted them. Believe it or not but they
all survived and are now starting to grow.
Moral of story look at all possible places when you are expecting mail
delivery of plants!
