I will for just a moment. Sometimes we turn out to be right ...
depending on what one values. I was the lucky recipient of
blue-eyed grass, shrubby cinquefoil, tons of gorgeous toadflax
most of which grew around my blackberry lilies and looked just
splendid there, several wild asters, 4 species of goldenrod,
creeping bellflower, 3 wild lobelia species and 4 times the
amount of QAL I had last year. All because I decided not to
weed the perennial beds unless I was absolutely certain I knew
the weed and because I decided to stop mowing my meadow for
the year. I am more than pleased.
Jaime, who suspects pretty much no one would understand why I am
enamored of the bull thistle in the back of one of my perennial
borders .... I should post photos of it covered with goldfinches
& other seed-loving garden buddies. :)
