I second the motion on nurturing weeds! I've done my fair share of that.
One good note is that I had something growing amongst the obedient plant
and didn't know what it was. I was loathe to pull it out because it was
very similar looking to the obedient plant, but not quite, and I couldn't
be sure if it wasn't supposed to be there.
It is blooming now a most beautiful lime green and looks like some sort of
goldenrod, although it is not the sulfur yellow typical of the species.
Anyway, it looks so natural and appealing having that lime green with the
pale lavender of the obedient plant that I wished I had thought of the idea
first. Sometimes nature just works things out for the best. I will not be
pulling my "weed" this year.
