Jaime, who suspects pretty much no one would understand why I am
enamored of the bull thistle in the back of one of my perennial

Jaime. I too love a nice large bull thistle! Large very showy plants with
large flowers-nice color too. Two years ago I had a white flowering one that
was just stunning.
The bull thistle is the closed I get to growing a large cactus like plant in
my garden.
You are right that not all "weed" are weeds. This has given me an idea for a
them garden for next year, "welcome to my weed garden" thistle, wild
sunflowers, milkweeds, europium, giant coreopsis, many diffrent asters- I have
maybe ten other plants to add plus many grasses of coarse and some really nice
large sedges, It might be my best garden ever!!!!
