Yes, and it might help if you mulch them well.
Reasoning: I've left cannas in the ground for the last two winters.
They've survived, revived and bloomed again in that same brassy pink shade
that bothered me so much the first year I planted them. I think they
appreciate well drained soil during the cooler season...to avoid root rot in
their outdoor storage location.
Now, if you happen to *like* your canna's colors, all Zone 7 survival bets
are off...
