The only thing I can add is that I found a listing for P. 'midnight' listing
it as a large leafed plant hardy from zone 7-10 and having tubular-bell shaped
dark indigo flowers.
P.strictus has spoon shaped Basel leaves with smaller linear to lance shaped
leaves progressing up the stems. Flowers are in narrow spike like racemes. it
is listed as hardy from 3-8.
