I've got to tell you this, the cypress vine will take over everything
in you life. your garden, your house, your car, your husband and
children. even your bank account. it's as cute as can be, but once
you get it, you've got it for life.
I planted seed about 2 or 3 years ago and still to this day, it comes
up in the veggie garden, in my flower beds, in my flower pots. I
can't seem to get rid of it.
I had it growing up a post just at the edge of my veggie garden and that
was about 2 years ago and it still comes up every spring and I haven't
planted a seed since the first time. it sure was pretty growing up the
post and the hummingbirds loved it, but it will run you away from
home.
if you want something invasive then this is the plant or it was for
me. it does very well in the hot burning sun. never tried it in the
shade "I don't think"
