Hi Nancy,
Pineapple mint is definitely one of my most favorite plants. The hummingbirds adore
it.
I planted mine 7-8 years ago and it's still growing strong; it's offspring started
from cuttings are in other parts of the garden too. It needs some watering after
planting to establish it but otherwise it's quite carefree. I've never tried it in
pots except to start it. It's in a very dry situation on a NW hillside. If you want
a cutting I'd be happy to start some or send some unrooted clippings. I usually water
the parent plant a few days before I take cuttings so they are full of water, they
root very readily.
