Re: White flies...


Whenever I buy verbena plants they seem to come with whiteflies (sigh).
Here in the Midwest they are supposed to kill off in the winter, and so
unless we have an extremely mild winter we usually don't have them unless
we bring them into the garden from a greenhouse somewhere. I agree with
Jean tho, go after them with Safer's soap or whatever works, and you have
to do it frequently until you've killed off all the new ones hatching as
well as the adults. Even if they aren't the scourge here they are in mild
winter areas, still they're a real pain while the summer lasts.
