Plant Prices

I feel the higher prices are due to supply and demand.  If they notice people are paying the higher prices, then they will keep on charging the higher price. The advantage you have, your on this mailing list which provides free advertisement to over 300 members.   Remember, these people do talk and can inform their friends or fellow growers.

Another issue to consider; "How well are you advertising your plants on the internet?  Can you search the internet and find your nursery via a search of a single plant name in Latin?   Are you listed in every search engine?

I know Chris is supporting you, but you need to think off all the different ways to get customers to your web page.  Be creative and create additional homepages to get a higher listing on the homepages.   Each search engine uses a different process to find a page and you will need to understand this process.

    And any others I confused here... just mumbling out loud. I was watching the
prices at other nurseries you guys were discussing. One gets $18 for a 4" pot of
Spigelia.. I charge $9 for a gallon size division that should bloom for you the
following year at the latest. Should I raise my prices to match what it the
competition is getting and still give a better bargain for the price?
