My wife and I planted 18 acres in the fall of 1998
(southeastern WI). In the second growing season we counted 37 species of
forbs and 5 grasses (about 100 originally planted). There are some patches
of cool season grasses, none greater than 1/8 acre, and some small patches of
reed canary grass. If I were to spray these
patcheswith Roundup in the next couple of weeks (april 7-21) would
there be much loss of natives. The last snow just melted and the only
green I can see is grass. I assume the little bluestem and side oats etc.,
won't be emerging till much later but are there any forbs at risk?
