2,4,D and glyphosate information

Several recent discussions here on 2,4,D and glyphosate usefulness and
safety have resulted in some genuinely helpful postings as well as some
that are not.
I felt that the personal antidotes on the toxicity of these two
herbicides and the suggesting that the Greenpeace environmental website
and dreamtime village commune to be sources of legitimate information
on these two chemicals a bit misleading to some of us looking for a
source of non biased, scientific based, helpful material on the
usefulness and safety of these and other regulated pesticides.
I'd like to suggest two web sources that would satisfy most of us land
stewards.
The National Pesticide Telecommunications Network ( A cooperative effort
of Oregon State University and the U.S. EPA
http://ace.orst.edu/info/index.html
Extoxnet ( A cooperative effort of the University of California-Berkley,
Oregon State University, Michigan State University, Cornell University,
and the University of Idaho)
http//ace.orst.edu/info/extoxnet
Most states have an Office of the State Chemist, and or an Environmental
Management Board that would be a good source of factual information.
regards,
Bill
