glad to hear you like prairies. Sad to say you're about 200 years too late
to see the prairie that was described in the Shenandoah mountains of
Virginia.  The closest now would be in Ohio, once part of the great "Prairie
Peninsula" I've not seen these myself, but I have heard of Huffman prairie
close to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (Wright-Patterson office number:
513-257-5535
The Ohio Department of Natural Areasand Preserves 614-265-6463.  Too bad you
won't be able to see Konza Prairie in Manhattan, Kansas. I spent 3 years
there and it's a beautiful natural prairie.
