As spring finally starts picking up its pace again, more and more things
are starting to leaf out. I noticed the tender young shoots of compass
plant, foxglove beard tongue, and the wild indigos peeking out. The
coneflowers (only E. purpurea though) are all about 2" tall, ox-eye
daises about the same, and queen-of-the prairie is over a foot tall!
These are all from the Chicago area.
Anyone have anything blooming yet? Anemone patens var. wolfgangiana
(pasque flower -- listed as Apr 5 - May 30 in Chicago)?
Chris
