this is the Fire Effects Information system database maintained by the USFWS.
Often it will give you leads on stategies.. or at least if fire has or has not
been successful..
The only thing it revealed was fire was not effective. It did suggest 2,4-d.
There were a lot of references that you might be able to followed up on.
