Re: Increase in Seed Prices (OUCH!)

One reason may be the governments CRP program which pays to 
not farm land. One of the options is to plant the fields in 
prairie grasses and forbs. Another option is to plant trees.

We have a few acres that we are putting in the plan and we are 
finding it is difficult to even find the seed at any price. 
I understand that there is going to be another program - open
enrollment - again next year, so exppect more of the same.
