hi, what i really wanted to know is does the troybuilt have the traction to pull itself up about a 10 % hill and still till 8 to 10 in. deep . my sears  can,t  and i need to know if the troybuilt will for sure before i buy one.          craig

Hey, about that tiller the Troy built 8 Horse is a great tiller. My front tine 5.5 Craftsman will till 12 -14 in. deep which is deeper than the tine cover on the Troy will allow you to go, but it still tills about 10 in. or so. Since I only use it once a year it's better for me to get together with other people and rent one, which brought my cost to about 20 dollars. Have fun and I hope this helps John in Prosser.
