If the SE MN site truly has been turned down as a GPC site, I encourage those
involved to develop their own independent weigh-off as well. If it were me I
would schedule it 1 or 2 weeks after the GPC weigh-off. This would allow
those who participated in the GPC weigh-off to come to your weigh-off as
well. Ideally each region needs to have its own traveling circuit for pumpkin
weigh-offs. This makes pumpkin growing more fun for everyone if they have
more weigh-offs to attend.
