You don't mention what type of oil you use. I think its always best to be precise as to what you use, so someone doesn't mistakenly use something that could cause damage to their plants.
Baking soda has anti-fungal properties and quite a few growers have recommended using it to combat fungal diseases, especially for splits and cracks. I for one have used it and found it to be effective, especially for split stems. Using liquid dish soap acts as a sticker/spreader for the baking soda which spreads the baking soda and acts as an adhesive to give longer lasting properties.
Daconil has been around a long time and was developed as a preventative to powdery mildew, in my experience it has always worked and I don't see any reason to change. However, I have found that using sea kelp as a foliar feed, I don't get powdery mildew like I did in the past.
