Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately the rural area of suburbia I live in has recently been
overrun & overpopulated by raccoons.
They are digging up folks lawns looking for grubs, making nightly rates on
everyone's garbage cans, scrapping with the local cats & dogs and have
generally become a royal pain in the butt .
We literally have roving herds of the little bugars!
I have never had a problem in the past with raccoons eating pumpkins or
newly set fruit, but we have always had a very limited number of coons
around, a few here or there.
As they have reached epidemic numbers and food sources are becoming very
limited I am wondering if I am going to have a problem with them eating my
pumpkins, they are sweet and may become a tasty snack for them.
Has anyone ever experienced any problems with raccoons eating their
pumpkins/newly set fruit or need I not be concerned?
Thanks!
