Mike, Pumpkin herbicides aren't the greatest. I grow some of my acreage on 4
foot black plastic in rows 10 feet apart...2 feet in the row. I cultivate
between the rows as they crawl off the plastic or use Gramoxone between the
rows...watch out for overspray. I have a Category 2 plastic mulch puller that
I was using today. 2
guys pulled two acres in an hour. I leave the plastic in over winter for the
vines are to tangled in the Fall.
