   It probably won't hurt anything, just lay off the phosphorous. Phos.
doesn't leach away like Nitrogen and potash. Jack Larue called me the other
night and he is in a similar situation. Alot of people think manure is
harmless and don't think of it in the same way as granular fertilizer but it
is 1-1-1 or 2-2-2 or whatever. If you put a ton of cow doo on each patch that
may be 40 pounds of pure phosphorous on 1000 square feet.....quite a dose and
it's not going anywhere fast. That is 1600 pounds of phosphorous per
acre....quite a jolt. You will not lower your levels if you keep adding mega
doses of manure. If you want to add more organic matter, till in leaves in the
Fall and plant some winter rye and till it in, in the Spring.Use a fertilizer
with a very low or no 3rd # on the bag.
