Well, this is a fine 'how do you do' !!! I subscribed back on to see what was hapening on your side of the planet and I find virtually nothing. Is it still early days there? Is everybody joining forces with Denis Connor and growing a massive combined pumpkin in which to sail against NZ and win back the America's Cup? Pumkin Witch - now you are getting better you need to excercise your powers and give the growers some gip. Is it generally being a wet spring across US and Canada? Here, the season of mellow fruitfulness metamorphasises from a classic Kiwi Summer to still hot but short days and I am getting 'cold turkey (or should that be pumpkin)? I need some stimuli or I will be getting interested in work again - streuth !!!! The pumpkin patch is bare and still looks odd. I am about to broadcast some blue lupin as a cover crop. The grapes have had a good season and now is the time to sit down outside to a lunch of at least three buches of 'Black Hamburgh'. Not as much fun to grow as pumpkins but sure taste sweeter. I look forward to a cachophany of contencious cultivation. "Have a Parky Day" John Sargeant
