Brock,
I have just been looking at some old mail and was wondering, if you have two
fruit on one plant, would you have them both on the main vine. Say you are
using the Xmas tree method and have a fruit on the main vine at 15' where
would you grow the second fruit?

Don,
A second pumpkin doesn't gaurantee that a pumpkin will not crack it acts as
a shock aborber for surges in growth.......but more times than not these AG
get holes.....so I leave 2 on because of this trait......unless you have a
bunch of plants which act as your back up......you can risk only one
pumpkin per plant. It also depends on the size of your plant if its kick
butt and fast growing two is a better bet......for Joe holland it save his
life as he had a 903 that crashed and then had a back-up at 879 on the same
plant....... i am not sure but Larue had a 916 that won and then won again
with an 812 from the same plant.......but the world records are usually one
pumpkin per plant.....if i only had one pumpkin plant i would leave two
pumpkins on .........brock
