Mason Bees

 
  Fellow Pumpkineers,
 
    The decrease of Honeybees greatly effected my harvest last year (Not pumpkins and squash, which I hand pollinate, but tomatoes and other heavy-fruiting crops).  Has anyone out there some knowledge of the mason bee's ability to pollinate vegetable crops, or are they only efficient with Orchard fruits? They are available at several good mail-order Nurseries, so I was just wondering.  Tanks!
