Thanks for the advice. I just love how people on this list are so willing to
share the benefits of their knowledge.
This plant has so much character. It's got the nicest leaves and a most
vigorous growth pattern. The vine goes oblong about 6-8 ft from the stump; I
should also mention that it is not really flat until about 12 ft out.
The seeds you sent me are all doing great. Nice and green, bushy plants with
large leaf stems.
I also noted my Castellucci 682.4 has a terrible vine split problem. The main
vine split between each leaf juncture, the entire length of the vine. A great
disappointment. The plant is blooming and is green and alive, but vine growth
is all but stopped and I estimate the plant to be about 8 ft. long. Not going
to support a whopper. I will keep the plant alive for the benefit of it's male
blossoms for pollination. Not a total loss.
