Hello everyone:
A friend of mine who has some knowledge of companion planting principles warned me about the large cherry tree in my backyard which borders the north side of my patch. He read that pumpkins (or squash/curcurbit in general) do not fare well when planted close to cherry trees (some sort of toxic compd produced that inhibits pumpkin growth etc). Is there anything to this or is he "leading me down the garden path".
Thanks a lot.
