Regarding content of the list.

Dan has been doing this a long time. As a former pumpkin page creator I can
say it is a LOT OF WORK with very little rewords. His ISP sets limits to the
size of space that is made available on their server for web space and on
the mail server for the amount of E-mail that goes through it. Since it
costs them money to connect to the Internet the cost is transferred to the
consumer (Dan). Dan has 2 choices 1- Pay more money for more space. or 2-
Limit the content and the amount of mail that passes through his server. He
must do this or his providor will charge him or revoke the mail service.
(They are running a business to MAKE MONEY not lose it).
I know how frustrating these things can be and how idiotic some people can
be when they don't understand how these things work.
Understand this and allow Dan to set rules and then follow the rules and
enjoy the list, It takes time to get money from people and do the accounting
involved in allowing the people to help support the list. It is easier to
just Boot people from the list for not following the rules.
Dan I understand what u are going through and that is why my page closed
down. My advice to you, if you want it, is Do what you have to do with the
best intrests of the whole group not just the vocal minority. And try to
find a long term solution to the problem, like accepting help in page
maintenence etc from members of the list.

Keep up the unselfish work for all the people on the list. They will not
realize what they had until it is gone. Buddy that started his own list will
soon realize what is involved. Maybe you should have put him in charge of
your list so he could have a dose of reality. He would back off when he saw
that he was spending more time on his computer than he was on his patch.
Since there are no rules on his list, I will join his list and start sending
large picture files of my pumpkins and see how long he lasts with no rules.
