Re: wild idea on aerating soil

You could use the piping as a drainage system and a deep watering system.  
Slope the piping and put a drain hole at that end.  If the drainage is needed 
just pump out the hole.  If watering is needed replace the air flow with 
water and so on.  You could use warm air to heat the soil and cool air to 
cool the soil on hot days.
   This system could be very useful.
