I have noticed that anything that touches the pumpkin will leave an
indentation. I have seen this effect from vines, the ground, and
creative persons thought of growing a pumpkin in a card board box and
what did they get? A square pumpkin. So my guess would be not to do it
unless you want it to look like a fat man's stomach with a very tight
belt on it. My two bits-Jon in UTAH
