Re: Powdery Mildew

Bill:

Daconil will kill stubborn powdery mildew and other fungus spores. It's the
best over the counter product available to home gardeners IMHO.

At first sign of mildew, follow the manufacturer's directions for squash and
melons, which is, I believe 2 oz per gal of water. Make sure you follow the
directions for heavy infestations.

Wait a week, and repeat. It is important that you use a spray method which
gets the undersides of the leaves, and hidden vegetation, that is, leaves
which might be covered by another, etc. A light spray will not work. Your
plant should be drenched with the Daconil spray. I also spray the ground
beneath the plant and nearby plants as well.

You can use Daconil once weekly until your mildew is gone. Keep a close eye
on your plants and spray when you see any sign of mildew.

Good luck.
