Re: first time grower

This is my second year, so I know what your going
through. Continue to follow this group, and many great
seeds will be available in early winter. Also go to the
nearest major weighoff this fall and talk to people. Bring
a notepad and your own preaddressed, preposted bubblepack
envelopes. with your address. Many folks are very good
about sending seeds, if you're willing to have the
envelope, some folks would rather have you mail the
envelope when they're ready to send out seeds. Oh yeah,
enter a pumkin, even if it's not worthy, newbees with small
pumpkins get lots of encouragement and advice, as well as
seed offers. Mine came in second to last place last year,
but I still had a great time. Last of all, get a good soil
test done this year, so you can start doctoring it now for
next year.
