Mike,
Is this the Brock Theory of Pumpkin Flatulence? Where
does the gas inside the pumpkin come from??
I believe you are right that the temperature change
inside the cavity is moderated considerably by the
mass of the pumpkin itself. This reduces the Doucet
effect but does not eliminate it.
