how often to water
I am just a beginner here. My plant is probably smaller than most as I
am growing it from a four-by-eight raised garden bed. I have been
watering it when it seems to need water, but I have never given it more
than a 3-day wait. I use a spade to dig down into the bed and see how
moist the soil looks. I also look at the plant and whether it is
beginning to droop a little. It was over 100 degrees here in southern
CT today, so I watered today even though I had done so yesterday. In
other words, I am letting the seat of my pants tell me how much water.
