Does anyone know how long it takes from the time you see a blossum on a tomato plant until you get a ripe tomato? Just wondering and hoping maybe one pumpkin person might know something about tomatoes.

Marv,

Depending on the variety, and I'm talking larger varieties not cherry, etc.; and the weather & climate approx. 4-5 weeks.  Growing a new variety that I will be able to offer this late fall.  Its awesome.  Will give you more information as the season progresses.  In days gone by the old timers would pull the vines and hang them in the cellar to ripen through the winter.  Or remove them from the vine and wrap them in wax paper and store them.
