I usually spray around 7 PM when the sun is totally off the plants. I am hoping
to re-apply the Terazicide and
Ortho Disease tomorrow evening around then. I agree about not spraying in the
AM since it is so damp and humid here at night. In the morning the leaves and
grass are wet enough to make you think it rained all night.
Any thoughts on the stem oozing? I put a fan on it today and it dried it up but
I am wondering if the fan will dry the stem too much? I am wondering about
Captan and Borox. I know many growers use them and I am wondering what exactly
they do.

Debbie lives in Illinois and her temps are about the same as mine. By 6pm we
are in the low 80's and upper 70's. Having been in the nursery/greenhouse
business my whole life, I have seen more problems with morning spraying than
late afternoon/early evening spraying. Not sure where you live that it is still
95F at 6pm, but that is not an issue here in the upper mid-west. You are
correct that everyone needs to make their own decisions based on their
environment.
