How long do pumpkins last after you cut them?

Hello everyone. I have about 7 jack-o-lantern size pumpkins that have grown
on my two vines. (I planted these before I discovered the mailing list so I
wasn't aiming very high).  Anyway, I obviously planted them too early and
they are ready to be cut I guess.  How long will they last? Will they cave in
or will they make it until Halloween?
