I am a first time grower too.  I only want something for Hallowe'en....
something special that will be really big and kewl to carve... something
SCARY!! THE GREAT PUMPKIN!!!! I have never even planned to enter a
competition, and it's a good thing cuz I have these fabulous vines and a
wonderful gourd growing (on my gourd plants of course), but my AG (and
even by JackoLantern) female flowers have all withered up so far.  The
male flowers are gorgeous!  I figure if I could just get ONE pollinated
by the end of the month at least I'd have SOMETHING!

Yucko. What am I doing wrong??? 
ANYWAY--I know how ya feel.
