Hello again everyone!
I had a question concerning the longevity of pumpkins once they are off the
vine. What are the best ways to lengthen the time a pumpkin is good for after
it's off the vine? I live in a fairly arid climate, so I'm not so concerned
with rot, but I also don't want the pumpkin to be totally useless as a jack-
o'-lantern come Halloween.
I wanted to start my seeds next growing season sometime in April or May,
which is consistently warm here in Bakersfield at that time of the year, but I
am concerned about having the pumpkins ready too early. I would like to have
the pumpkins ready next season for late September and early October, so I need
some info on how to properly store pumpkins so they won't rot or get yucky.
Thanks for any help you can give me!
