During peak growing time, I like to see my pumpkins put on 15-20 pounds a day.
Moderation is the key. It allows the stem ample time to expand with the
fruit. I was up 36, 33, 28 and the like and my stems were splitting all
apart. Keep in mind that a worlds record needs to avarage 11.8 pounds a day
over a 90 day life span.
