Pumpkin Color

Hi All,
This is my second year growing AG's. Last year I grew an est. 200 lbs. and
this year I am doing much better with an est. 349 pounder still gaining 15-20
a day from a Wallace 680 seed (Thanks again Ron). But my question is why last
years pumpkin and this years both are cream colored. Is something lacking in
the soil that causes the orange color. 2 years in a row with this makes me
suspicious that there's something missing here.
