Seeds

Beth: I received the seeds you sent on Saturday. Thank you so much also
for the detailed linage of the pumpkin! What careful record keeping. Also,
thanks for the other two types of pumpkins. I will plant them in the
spring. The Cinderella seeds are sparkly, in keeping with the name I guess!
What would you like in return? Seeds from my biggest one, stamps, cash for
postage, etc? You name it, and thanks again!

One of my pumpkins, the last one pollinated, is growing so fast I can hardly
believe it. 7" in one day this weekend. Shaped like a huge set of hips,
hence the name "Rumpy". The others have started their huge growth spurt.
Spent the weekend building shading devices for them, pruning off blown out
smaller pumpkins and burying vines. So far, looking good, but far from
those 500 - 600 pounders that some people already have on the vine. Guess I
won't make 1000 pounds by October 3rd! I am hoping for at least 500 though
for a first time effort!
