Hello everyone. Last week I was so excited because I spotted my first female
flower that was about a week to 10 days from maturity. I've had plenty of
male flowers opening up, but the females aren't making it to maturity. They
are nowhere close to being ready for pollination before the immature pumpkin
turns yellow and then the rest of it turn yellow then falls off. I don't know
what I'm doing wrong. (Other than the fact that these are being raised in
containers.) The rest of the vines look healthy and strong and the leaves are
in great shape.
BTW, this is early sugar pie variety. Next year will be the AG's for me!
Any suggestions/tips are welcome, thanks all!
I forgot to add...it's been in the 100s in the afternoon here, will that
affect the immature female pumpkins, but not the males?
