Re: Shriveling Leaves

We had the same thing happen to us just a few weeks ago, you may
remember reading about us, we're the ones with the pumpkin plant that
has no stump.  I noticed that the leaves close to the base of the plant
were wilting, and my husband, upon further investigation, found that our
entire base (stump) had rotted.  No sign of borers, we spray
religiously, so we don't know what the cause is, we had to cut away 2.5
foot of the main plant, but our pumpkin is still growing!  Now, if your
leaves are shriveling up at the ends of the vines, that is usually heat,
or could be more serious, such as watermelon mosaic virus.  I looked up
some possibilities on the internet, so some research would be a good
thing.  Perhaps  you could describe it  on this and we could help more,
like where is the shriveling?  Do the leaves just shrivel and turn
brown, or do they have a funny color to them?  Good luck!
